‘Over the Hills’ is a concept piece about the Peninsular War of 1807-1814; the bloody and protracted conflict between the armies of Napoleonic France and the Allied powers of Britain, Spain and Portugal, which raged across the Iberian Peninsula in the early years of the 19th Century. The album does not seek to tell the whole story of the conflict.
Rather, this is a collection of stories of horror and heroism from this fascinating period in history, all told through the medium of intense, dramatic and irresistibly catchy heavy metal.
Recorded at Whitewood Recording Studios Liverpool across March 2019 and mixed and mastered by Daniel Woodward across April, the album will feature re-recorded versions of all of the tracks on our demo EP as well as several live favourites and material previously unheard by the public.
The stunning cover artwork is by our supremely talented friend Mitchell Nolte, who was also responsible for the artwork on our demo EP and band shirts. We are very pleased to continue to work with Mitchell and we think you’ll agree that he really has outdone himself on this project.
